Rashidah Ali’s voluptuous frame and fiery red tresses makes her a stand out as a new cast member of “Love & Hip Hop” season 3, but it’s her criminal past that makes her most memorable in the media.
Known as a “shoe consultant to the stars” and the owner of her very own Encore shoe line, Rashidah Ali made headlines in January 2011 when she allegedly slashed Joseph Wright, a bouncer at an upscale Soho nightclub with a razor from his hairline to his mouth when all hell broke loose in the VIP section.
“I felt her hand reach through and start grabbing at my face. She’s clawing over my eye, at my face, and I didn’t feel anything at first….Then I realized I felt the blood dripping down my shirt. I was leaking,” Wright said in a statement.
Wright suffered a severed nerve and artery, and had to undergo surgery. He received 50 stitches. Click here to see the graphic photo of Joseph Wright’s injury.
Joseph Wright filed a $10 million lawsuit against Rashidah Ali, but tainted his case after he went on World Star Hip Hop and threatened to kill her.
“She got me good. The b—h got me good. Dirty b—h! Lucky I ain’t f—–g kill your ass. I’m trying to get paid, but if you don’t, I’m definitely going to get your ass,” he said.
Rashidah is clearly bout dat life. In November of 2010, she was busted for grand larceny after skipping out on a bill at a Ritz-Carlton and in 2005, she was convicted of attempted larceny in Connecticut and was given three years probation.
Now, Rashidah Ali can add reality show star to her rap sheet.
Don’t get it twisted, Rashidah does not run from her past and is quick to spill her own tea. Hopefully, she’s turned over a new leaf and is moving forward in a positive way.
